Jack of All are an Alt. folk/rock duo, formed in April 2014 in Malvern, Worcestershire. They began small scale gigs locally but soon spread their net a bit wider, starting to develop a fan base in London, the East Midlands and Yorkshire. Their songs range from those rooted in a political and social consciousness to those based in deeply personal experiences. Their sound is very much their own but betrays diverse influences, including The Levellers, New Model Army, David Ford, Billy Bragg, The Specials, and Seth Lakeman.
In their first year, they have played numerous gigs, as well as appearing at Arkfest, two gigs for Worcester Music Festival, and two gigs at the Oxjam takeover in Leicester.
Their debut EP, Bindle-Punk, was funded through pledgemusic.com and 10% of all sales go to support the charity Parkinson’s UK.
Jack of All are made up of Laurence Aldridge (guitar and vocals) and Anna Clifton (Violin/Electric Violin).
Outside of their music, Laurence is a professional actor and Anna is an ethical goldsmith and jewellery designer. They both own cats.
