Indica Campbell, daughter of UB40’s Ali Campbell and Granddaughter of folk singer Ian Campbell, will join the Livestock lineup.
‘I like all types of music, but I particularly like the acoustic laid back sound. I suppose my music is a fusion of everything I like – so a little bit jazzy in parts, sometimes bluesy and definitely pop – it’s a mixture really. I just try to write simple songs that I hope others will like also’
Growing up she always toured with her Dad & family and she continues to love travelling today. She is fluent in Spanish, attended the world famous art school Malaga (Escuela de arte,San Telmo) and graduated as an accomplished painter. Alongside music, art is her other great passion.
In 2013 she moved back to her home town of Birmingham. She is passionate about her hometown and its musical hertiage.
When not writing music or drawing Indica works in a music venue.
Indy is currently writing and recording her first album, supported by three musicians/ songwriters and an established producer.
She is passionate about music, and despite her family legacy, has driven her writing and performing herself – something that she feels proud of.
She has a busy Summer planned; playing at various festivals, the Institute in Birmingham, The National Indoor Arena and Brixton o2 Academy
